This online training course provides a foundational introduction to the FIDIC Suite of Contracts, offering insight into their structure, application, and guiding principles. It is ideal for professionals who are new to FIDIC Contracts or who wish to formalise and broaden their understanding before progressing to more specialised training.

Participants will gain a solid understanding of FIDIC’s approach to risk allocation, roles and responsibilities of parties, and key contractual processes across the Red, Yellow, and Silver Books. The course introduces essential contract administration practices and positions participants for further professional development through FIDIC’s advanced contract courses.

This course is officially CPD certified by the CPD Certification Service, ensuring it meets the highest standards for professional development. The live online course events, assessments and discussions will take place on FIDIC Academy’s eLearning platform.

Starting date: 12 February 2026*

This course will consist of six 3-hour sessions which are usually scheduled from 13:00 – 16:00 CET/CEST weekly.

All live training sessions will be recorded, which you will be able to watch in case you can’t attend a live event. Participants will have access to the recordings and learning material for 3 months after the course end date.

Prerequisites
No prior knowledge is required. This online course requires a good level of English.

Technical access
This online course requires that participants have access to a computer with an internet connection either at their workplace or at home, whichever is more convenient regarding the timing of the sessions.

Official FIDIC Academy certificate
An online FIDIC Academy certificate of completion will be provided to the participants having attended all sessions (either live or recorded) and having submitted all of the case studies/ tests/ assignments (only if applicable – at the trainers’ discretion if they wish to set any) on the FIDIC Academy eLearning platform. The certificate will be issued via email and can be shared on social media, downloaded in PDF format and printed as required.

The participants who do not meet this requirement will not receive the certificate of completion.
