FIDIC Academy is introducing preferential geographic pricing and discounts to enable the implementation of a geographically sensitive pricing model for its training courses, fully integrated with the Academy’s Learning Management System with the use of discount codes. The system is designed to promote equitable access to high-quality training and capacity-building resources by adjusting pricing based on a user’s country of residence.
Recognising the economic disparities across regions, the plugin uses the World Bank’s country income classification to assign appropriate discount tiers, thereby ensuring that learners from low- and middle-income countries are not excluded from accessing vital training due to financial constraints. The initiative supports the World Bank’s broader mission of inclusive development and sustainable capacity building, particularly in the infrastructure, governance and procurement sectors – areas that FIDIC training directly impacts.
The feature will assign discounts across four tiers based on World Bank classifications.
– Tier 1 – 0% discount (High-income countries).
– Tier 2 – 10% discount.
– Tier 3 – 20% discount.
– Tier 4 – 30% discount (low-income countries).
By lowering financial barriers to education and training, FIDIC Academy aims to support local professionals and institutions in emerging and developing economies, helping to foster resilience, sustainability and technical excellence in infrastructure development. This strategic approach to pricing aligns with FIDIC’s commitment to equitable education access, promoting a more inclusive global infrastructure community.
